He entered Seminary, completing his masters at Asbury Theological Seminary and his doctorate at Western Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in a multiplicity of ministries, from chairman of the Theology department at a Bible College, Staff Pastor, Director of a Counseling Ministry, Senior Pastor of East Hill Church for 22 years, to his present position as Founder of Pure Desire Ministries International. He is the author of Failing Forward, For Men Only: The Courageous Fight For Healthy Sexuality, Pure Desire, Living Life Boldly, Going Deeper which he co-authored with Pam Vredevelt, Sexy Christians, co-authored with his wife, Diane , and his latest release Top Gun. 

Ted and his wife, Diane, who serves as co-Founder of Pure Desire Ministries International have two grown children, Nichole and Bryan, and four grandchildren. 

Dr. Roberts pastored East Hill Church for approximately twenty two years and the flock grew to over 6,000. East Hill is located in one of the most unchurched areas of our nation. There was a unique growth in small group ministry and support groups for the particular needs of hurting people – from drug and alcohol, divorce recovery, marriage enrichment small groups, and sexual addiction groups. A significant portion of these groups are composed of individuals who have recently come to Christ. Dr. Roberts passed the baton as Senior Pastor to his son-in-law, Jason Albelo in August of 2007, and is now leading Pure Desire Ministries International. 

Dr. Roberts is also a Clinical sexual addiction therapist – trained under renowned speaker, teacher and clinician Dr. Patrick Carnes. 

Diane is the mother of two grown children, Nichole and Bryan, and grandmother to Ashley, Jarrett, Annie, and Benjamin. She graduated from California Polytechnic University, and taught elementary grades in both private and public schools for eight years. She does counseling on a regular basis for women whose husbands struggle with sexual addiction, and also for women who struggle with Love addiction. Diane has authored two new manuals entitled, Betrayal and Beyond, Healing for Broken Trust (books 1,2 and 3), and  Pure Desire for Women,The Eight Pillars of Freedom from love addiction and sexual issues (books 1 and 2).. Diane has also been a contributing author with her husband, Dr. Ted Roberts, for Pure Desire and Sexy Christians Book and Workbook.  Diane travels extensively throughout the United States and abroad with her husband presenting Sexy Christian seminars and training for Pure Desire International University.. 

Kathy has worked with Dr. Roberts and Pure Desire Ministries for over fifteen years assisting with the scheduling and planning of seminars, administrative details, as well as counseling women and their families who have experienced the hurts of sexual addiction.  She has taught the Betrayal & Beyond classes for women whose husbands have struggled with sexual addiction. Kathy has been married for 33 years to Mark and they have two grown sons, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Kathy is uniquely qualified to speak into the area of sexual wholeness in families through her own life experiences and healing journey. 

Harry has been both a Senior Pastor and an Associate Pastor. His passion is to see people set free from addictions. This was birthed out of his own addictive history. Harry has been in charge of For Men Only (dealing with sexual addiction) at East Hill Church in Gresham, Or. Since 2004. This ministry has touched hundreds of men in the greater Portland area and beyond. In June of 2008 Harry has been working full time with Pure Desire Ministries International where he functions as a consultant as well as his expertise in running small groups. Harry is the father of three grown sons, and grandfather to one granddaughter, and husband to Debby who is on staff at East Hill Church.

Bryan and his wife Danielle have been married 15 years and have two children, Annie and Benjamin. Bryan’s professional experience has largely been centered around the high-tech industry.  From 1995 to 2010 Bryan worked as an Industrial Laser Engineer for several companies.  In 2000 Bryan became the Engineering Manager of Micron Laser Technology Inc. and, in 2006 Bryan became the Director of Operations.  Despite a successful career Bryan had an overwhelming sense that his work had little significance.  In early 2009 he began to seek Gods purpose in his job only to find that God was preparing him for full time ministry. In July of 2010 Bryan became the Director of Operations at Pure Desire. He has a deep passion for the next generation, and for parents struggling to teach their children to follow Christ amid a porn addicted society.

Val has been on staff for almost a year, working mostly at the front desk and production. Val is married to Doug for 22 years and has 2 wonderful children who are both in college.She loves spending time with her horse and taking cross country motorcycle trips with her husband. Val is looking forward to what God has planned for this next season of her life as she is learning to slow down and, change the focus from full time Mom, to herself and helping with the growth and passion of Pure Desire Ministries.
