PURE DESIRE FOR WOMEN:
Sexual bondage and its impact is not just a male issue. Statistics tell us that 40% of women surfing the Internet are involved in sexual cyberspace activity (Dr. Patrick Carnes). Through Pure Desire we have found that 24% of women in leadership are struggling with compulsive sexual behavior. And since 70% of men that attend church are struggling with sexually bondage, their wives are also feeling the impact of their behavior.
Our heart is to reach out to hurting women: both those struggling with sexual issues and those feeling the impact of their husbands sexual behavior. Since teen girls ages 12-17 are the fastest growing group involved in compulsive sexual behavior, we now provide a resource (Behind the Mask) that will help them move from struggling as a victim of peer pressure and societies definition of normal to a biblical place of victory when it comes to their sexuality.
FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN BETRAYED BY THEIR SPOUSE/BOYFRIEND/FIANCE:
We have designed materials for groups to help women who are facing the painful reality of being betrayed. Surviving the devastation of porn addiction, an affair, on line sexual activity and prostitutes etc.is not an easy task. We have found that women who have experienced the devastating affects of betrayal can receive real help in a group setting with material that includes biblical truth and clinical tools. Betrayal and Beyond material is designed to answer the questions: How did he get this way? How can I tell if he is getting better? How could I trust him again? Why isn't it my fault? The material helps women deal with the trauma and anger they have experienced. It allows them to grieve the losses and shows them how to create a safety plan when he relapses. Women who go through this material experience support as they process their pain and find their voice. The transformation that takes place allows women to become who God has called them to be; victorious rather than being victims. Women realize they do not need to bear this burden alone and there is hope as they join others in this journey of restoration.
FOR WOMEN STRUGGLING WITH LOVE ADDICTION AND SEXUAL ISSUES:
More shame use to be attached to women struggling with compulsive sexual behavior. But our society and the Internet have changed all that. In fact, Sex in the City, Desperate Housewives and other American television programs and movies have created new standards for what society says is normal for sexual behavior.
Fortunately, Christian women seeking help realize God's standards for healthy sex and His desire for us to walk in blessing looks different than what is presented by the media. God is not a prude; He invented sex. But we can easliy miss the excitment and beauty of what He intended, if we are caught up in love addiction and compulsive sexual behavior.
Many have tried to stop unwanted behavior with little success. Many have tried praying more, reading their Bible more and going to the alter on numerous occastions and yet nothing works.
The Eight Pillars to Freedom is designed to help women in a group setting understand why they do what they don't want to do. It gives them biblical and clinical help that is transforming. After going through this material in a group setting, women experience real and lasting freedom. No longer do they have to be caught in the web of love addiction and compulsive sexual behavior.
