About the Authors

Ben Bennett

Ben Bennett has worked with the Campus Ministry of Cru, an interdenominational evangelical Christian organization, since 2011. Throughout his time with Cru, he has been part of launching and leading gospel-centered campus movements in Virginia. He serves as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator for Cru’s sexual addiction recovery groups, supporting the health and restoration of men and women struggling with pornography and sex addiction.


Brett Butcher

Brett Butcher has been on staff with Cru since 2003. He serves on the national Partner and Staff Care Team, which is responsible for growth, development, and care of Cru staff in the US. A primary focus for Brett, a Pastoral Sex Addiction Professional (PSAP), is helping Cru effectively mentor men and women who are struggling with sexual bondage win the battle for healthy sexuality.


Ted Roberts

Dr. Ted Roberts is a Pastoral Sex Addiction Professional (PSAP) and multiple addiction professional. He worked closely with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) and Dr. Patrick Carnes to create an officially recognized designation for pastors who work in the field of sex addiction treatment. Dr. Ted has authored twelve books including the bestseller, Pure Desire, and the addiction recovery workbook, Seven Pillars of Freedom. He is the founder of Pure Desire, a conference speaker, and a writer.
